The Thatchie

The view, the hot tub, the quiet, the character, the large comfy bed. Close to a lovely pub/restaurant.

No music outside (even really quiet music). Coffee machine and cupboard shelves dirty. A lot of the battery powered lights didn’t work.

Facilities were amazing, lovely warm and cozy little place to stay.

Only one thing I could be picky about is the fact that there are no stepping stones from the back door to the wooden steps up to the decking meaning you have to walk on gravel bare foot from the hot tub If you don't have flip flops. Coffee mate would also be a lovely extra touch to go with the instant coffee in the lodge.

Loved the whole feel of the place, the hot tub and the fresh eggs provided.

If you have a fear of spiders it may not be for you but this is to be expected in a thatched barn conversion.

The property was absolutely beautiful along with the scenery. the balcony was lovely to sit on in the evening and chill in the peace and quiet, then take a dip in the hot tub under the stars. Able to cook your own food with everything provided. Wasn't disturbed by owner or any thing else on this working farm. All in all great stay would like to come back again next year for a longer stay.

Only downfall would be there was no fan available, it gets quite warm in the bedroom area especially in the weather we’ve been having, so a fan would’ve been lovely as they provided a heater for colder times. Also there were quite a few little wood-mites (I think) that get everywhere in the evenings but that’s to be expected in a wood cabin.
