Casinha da Ti Babel

Great location, kitchen was fully equipped, washer/dryer combo was a good option for especially winter visit. The thing that makes this such a good place to stay is the owner. Joao was incredibly helpful and generous with his time and advice.

The host Joao provided a complimentary bottle of wine, beer, bread, cheese, fruit, etc. and couldn't have been more hospitable. Joao also took time to explain where spare supplies were located. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is very clean. There is good WiFi and cable TV. The bedroom AC worked well. The bedroom is a decent size. The house is very convenient to the city centre and all restaurants.

The downstairs room, which is the living room, kitchen and shower/toilet, is very very compact but not a problem for a solo traveller.

The location was fantastic, being really close to the town. The host met with us and offered suggestions throughout our stay about local sights and activities. There were lots of helpful things left in the apartment too, from a bag and beach umbrella to a full kitchen set up!

The size of the property was "very cosy" but we did expect this. The door lock wouldn't always open first time but it was a very minor inconvenience.

What a beautiful place. Joao has created a sanctuary amidst Faro… with every detail accounted for! From the lighting to the kitchen.. Had an amazing stay, and looking forward to returning. Joao is an amazing host!

Casinha da Ti Babel is a very lovely, cosy place to stay, in easy walking distance from the town centre. The interior is lovingly decorated and you can feel the heart and energy that was put into it. Although small, everything you would need was available and smartly integrated into the interior. Our host João was very accommodating and probably one of the kindest hosts we have met throughout our travels. It was a true privilege to stay at Casinha da Ti Babel.

Good location, clean

The property is extremely small. I don’t recommend to go there with children. extremely dangerous stairs and there are no space at all. When we were booking this accommodation it was written that one double and one sofa beds are available. There were no any info about the cot or extra money. When we came the householder told us that we can use only double bed and there is a cot for child. If we want to use sofa bed we need to pay 25 euro for bedding. We didn’t pay him anything more because we paid him for two beds already. As our daughter doesn’t sleep in the cot we slept altogether ( two adults and one child) in one double bed. We chose this property because of 9,8 rating and a lot of good reviews , but it was very bad choice.

This is a beautifully restored home with a adorable quirky style and filled with original art work. It was a fantastic location close to the old town harbour and transport links. Equipped with everything you need . The owner gave us lots of information about the area places to go restaurants etc. Overall the perfect little holiday home we absolutely loved it .
