Loughview House

The location was really good, it was quite and peaceful. I loved it and would like to stay there again. The house was clean and had a lot of facilities and we were over whelmed.

Nothing we could complain of.

There is a good amount of space in the house and nice views. The location is good for exploring Lough Eske, the Blue Stacks way and other parts of Donegal. Paul, the owner /manager is very helpful and kind and came out to the house with a potato peeler and oven dishes when asked.

The soundproofing in the house is missing. Everyone hears everything from everywhere - between floors as well as walls. The small double is next to both bathrooms. It’s a shame as otherwise the house is a good size with two sitting rooms and a light, bright kitchen diner as well as four bedrooms- three doubles with double beds and one triple. The kitchen equipment was missing some basic things eg a standard potato peeler and larger oven dishes. The oven door did not close so cooking was uneven. Not a place to roast a turkey at Christmas. There were quite a few spiders and dead flies around the windows. In the main bathroom the hot water was not well regulated as at the start it was scalding hot. The en suite uses the immersion. There’s no timer, so you need to turn it on in advance each time you want a shower. The central heating also has no timer which could be annoying in the winter.

House was great, plenty of room for our group of 6. Clean and well equipped. Nice setting with a view of the lake. Host Paul was great.

Location was a bit far from town. Mattress in master bedroom was not comfortable.

This was the nicest place we stayed in during our 23 days of vacation. It was so beautiful and the location was amazing.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Simply wonderful.
