Farmhouse Cala

Spacious, facilities to make decent coffee. Water dispenser provided. Clean pool. Sun loungers. Quiet neighbours and good location from the fast ferry and the local beach and village with cute bars, restaurants & shop. The owner was attentive, polite and friendly. Soft white towels. Retractable Sun Canopy over the pool seating area was a bonus.

Overall it was a great property to enjoy a self catering holiday and recommended. However due to the heat, cotton or linen for the bed would be a more practical option. The location is very good however it’s at the top of a steep hill either from the beach or from the village. Not an issue for us but perhaps for others. And there were lots of stairs in the property and some of the doorways were low for taller people.

Very spacious, a rustic feel yet with contemporary touches. This place was perfect for a relaxing break. We were going to hire a car but discovered beautiful walks both to the beach and along the coastline to Mgarr Ferry port. The buses and taxis were also very accessible.

The pictures don't do Farmhouse Cala justice. This place is just perfect. Very spacious and bright with everything you need to enjoy the tranquility of Gozo. The host is super efficient, very responsive and super accommodating. We could not recommend this place enough and we'll definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. We loved Gozo and the property is ideally located, close to the ferry terminal and within walking distance of the village centre where there are plentiful bars and restaurants if you don't feel like cooking one night. It is a great base from which to explore the island by car, with everything being within easy driving distance. The balconies with the views out to sea and the ferries coming and going was beautiful and peaceful. The only sounds were of the birds. The kitchen was well equipped. It has a good range of furniture to relax on outside. It is a huge space, much bigger than my flat at home.

The CCTV was excessive. We had assumed it would be at the front door of the property only but it was inside the two main rooms and on both balconies and the swimming pool. This did not feel comfortable and felt intrusive of our privacy. The hot water does not run for longer than 3 minutes which apparently is a safety feature to stop it from over-heating. In April when it was fairly chilly, having to stop the water and wait for the boiler to re-set before continuing a shower was not the best.

Our Family (2 adults, 2 kids) experienced Cala2 as an outstanding place to spend our Christmas holidays. It is a really well-restored traditional building, very clean and equipped with all amenities we could think of. It offers much space, a well-tended pool and 2 nice terraces with a breathtaking views over Gozo‘s south shore. The place is absolutely quiet, almost without any traffic. Nevertheless, we could reach Qala’s lively centre within a 10 Minute walk. The keyless access via code was uncomplicated and the corres with Reuben via WhatsApp and Mail was very friendly and helpful. Although our arrival was at first day of Christmas, we received very fast feedback.

Beautiful house and more than expected because it is renovated and new furniture as of a pool are ready to relax.

The photos did not do the property justice - it is really beautiful and spacious and comfortable. The location was very peaceful, only a 15 minute walk from a gorgeous swimming spot and close to the centre of town too where there are some lovely restaurants and bars.

My partner is a chef so was a bit sad there was no outside bbq grill as shown in the photos but the beautiful private pool is a very nice use of the outside space instead.
