Villa Farm York

Melrose Cottage was bright, clean and well equipped.

Only 1 slight negative. Guest’s information book states that you can stand at their gate and flag down the bus. We got a right telling off in front of a full bus 😧 for doing so I felt like I was a child ( I’m 53) Upon returning we had to use the bus stop down the road (Willow caravan park) and walk along the 70 mile an hour road that has no pavement. Not ideal for people with mobility issues.

Villa farm is gorgeous. The cottages are done to high spec. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. Peaceful and quite.

The only thing that let it down was the mattreses. Unfortunately you could feel all the springs could do with 10cm memory foam toppers which wouldn't cost much to do. Hook on back if bathroom door would help to.

Lovely surrounds. A short drive to town.

Unit was hot inside. We stayed in Summer and it uncomfortable.

In a great setting spotlessly clean and comfortable made full use of the hot tub and in a great location for us to get to family. We didn’t see any staff at all but wanted to say Thank you for a great stay

We were very happy and as it was Christmas we didn’t want to disturb any staff but could have done with another small towel for hair also the vanity light didn’t work and no chopping board could be found all very minor!
