The Cottage

Very comfortable stay, cottage had a great English feel with lovely touches from the hosts.

It was warm despite the freezing weather.

Very, very clean, warm and well equipped. Good quality bedding. Open fields at rear with ample outdoor space. A quiet , comfortable and private retreat. Tesco superstore 3 minutes away! Short drive/ bus ride into York.

Rather strong odour from wardrobe in smaller bedroom. Furniture is dated but clean and practical. Not suitable for wheelchair users. A Little PRICIER THAN AVERAGE but home from home feel and privacy.

The location was spot on.

Shower was too small and only 3 toilet rolls for the whole stay Bed was soft and lumpy we ended up having bad backs There were no bed sheets only the covers on the bed itself The furniture stank of old people No fan we were hot and sweaty we had some really hot days and the property was stuffy Bedrooms were dusty kept on coughing and sneezing Cooker took forever to switch on. You can tell it was old.

Central to the places we wanted to visit The. Cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed for a stay. The beds were very comfortable and although the cottage is on a busy road you don't hear much noise

The cottage furniture is a bit tired. The bathroom is a good size but has a tiny shower, difficult to get into if you're oversized or have mobility issues, we had to ask for a mat in the shower as the floor was very slippery. We also had to ask for clean sheets and towels, as we stayed two for weeks, this is unusual, as most stays a few days to a week,so the property agent didn't think we would need clean sheets and towels . They did provide them eventually. We were not able to sit outside due to the weather but it is mostly concrete with a cesspit in the middle!

Property had a cottage feel to it but could be more modernised, but perfect for the older audience :) 10/10 will be back if I end up needing somewhere to Stay again!

Needs to be More modern, bigger telly, more modern furniture other than that it was perfect.
