dirty hot tub no mattress protector on the double bed or pillow protectors on any of the pillows when I stripped the bed this morning there was a blood stain on one of the pillows didn’t like how it said cash security deposit when booking then 2 days before arrival the owners email to say pay it on the link and it takes 7-10 days for refund

Everything was amazing

Two bathrooms, the kitchen was well appointed.

Before we arrived, I got an email from an unknown company asking for a deposit - but the booking form said we had to pay £200 deposit in cash. We could not find the property and reception never answered the phone. The mailbox was full and we could not leave a message or ask for directions. The wifi did not work. The hot tub (for which I booked this property) was not set up - there was no manual for the property. We were sent very long emails before we arrived but we were travelling and could not print them out. The patio doors were dirty. The bedroom is tiny and the twin beds uncomfortable. The evening was cool and I put on the electric fire and there was a strange smell and I turned it off. I did not feel it was safe to use the fire. The property was advertised with wifi and hot tub. This was not provided and this was false advertisement. I asked for a partial refund as we paid over £200 for one night and this was under no circumstances a luxury lodge. I was given an option of a 10% discount on a future stay. Would I stay there again? Not in this lifetime. I could not contact reception - they never answered the phone even during working hours. The out of hours number was never answered. There was no service and the park was run for the convenience of the owners and staff - no the guests. I had to pay a £200 deposit by credit card on arrival on 22nd July. This is the 27th and I still have not received a refund on my card. I was assured by reception that the card would be refunded the next day. I would not stay there again and would recommend that anyone else looking at this review book somewhere else.

Clean accommodation, hot tub was a great hit. Park was very well kept, clean and tidy.

The park needs to put more measures in place to tackle the wasp problem. Our caravan was spotless, a couple of provisions missing that would help, for example hairdryer, more cutlery, heat protector mats to protect the table/worktops.
