1. Front door lock extremely difficult to open from indoors. This could be a safety hazard if persons required to leave quickly in the event of a fire. 2. Back door unable to lock after staying in the property for 1 week. This is a security hazard. 3. On street parking is restricted and no parking badge provided with property. Unrestricted parking is a 10 mins walk away. There is a car park nearby but this will be an expensice option. 4. TV reception stopped working on TV in back room on final day. 5. Only 3 small cereal bowls. Also no large fying pan and no salad bowls. 6. Back yard overgrown with weeds so we had to tidy this up to make the place more presentable.

"Nice House"

The house is beautiful. Just like the photos, it's bigger than I thought! There were three of us, and we were very comfortable. The kitchen is super complete, and the rooms too.

The patio was very neglected. The upstairs bathroom had no light; it didn't work. I mentioned this to the host, and he said there were light bulbs downstairs that I could change myself. There weren't any for the type of light bulbs in the bathroom, and he said he could come and change them. I thought it was inappropriate for him to enter the house when we weren't there, so I was left without light in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi was working very poorly. I mentioned it to them to get it fixed, but it didn't work.

"Beautiful comfortable house in excellent location, just needs a few tweaks to be perfect!"

Fantastic location for short break to York. 5 minute walk to independent shops, cafes and restaurants but in a quiet residential street, car park 5 minutes away. Easy access from station. Homely and comfortable with lots of quirky details, Plenty of kitchen equipment so ability to cook meals if required.

Downstairs bathroom needs a proper shower attachment and shower curtain - impossible to use as a shower meaning 4 of us had to use ensuite. Expect the 'main' bathroom to have a functioning shower. Ensuite was lovely but dark as 1 of 3 light bulbs not working. Would be difficult to cater for a family meal such as Christmas, even though house is so lovely. Tableware a problem with just 3 bowls, expect at least 6. Table mats - not enough for 4 people yet alone hot serving dishes. Silly detail but irritating as if damage table would be charged, Nervous even eating takeaway! Storage lacking in kitchen - nowhere to store food except fridge.

It was clean, very spacious and well equipped. we only came for a weekend but would be a great place for a longer stay.

The settee wasn’t the comfiest although wasn’t unbearable, we were out most of the day anyway. also the downstairs shower head may have been nicer if it was a shower on the wall to make it easier when getting ready to go out.
