We loved everything, as 2 busy working mums it gave us an escape and a chance to switch our brains off, and enjoy beautiful views, wildlife, peace and tranquility.

There's nothing not to like

Stunning location. Beautiful scenery. Everything needed was available. Very kind welcome of local cheese and cider, which was much appreciated. Shower was lovely, really nice. Lights leading to the hot tub made it safe and pretty. A gorgeous retreat: the stuff of dreams.

Couldn't find the parasol for outdoors, and I'm very fair.

Great views, loved the hot tub which was private. The lodge was well stocked and host very pleasant.

The host was a lovely woman who met us at the chalet fairly late in the evening. She took us round the whole place and showed us everything. They also included a what3words for the location which allowed us to find this secluded booking when otherwise we may have found it much more difficult, as in this rural location the postcode is not very specific!

The heating is tied to the main house heating, so it was quite cold first thing, but this got better later in the day. The place is very much a small chalet type affair so for four adults on winter nights it may be VERY cosy, ie no room to move without being in each others way

Everything was perfect. We stayed the third time nor and definitely we will be back .
