Difficult to get into drive

Absolutely beautiful, cosy and comfortable house. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. Great location both in Calne and for reaching the many sights of Wiltshire. Nice big bedroom and kids enjoyed their upstairs room. Very kind host who made us feel welcome with fresh flowers in the house, milk and butter in the fridge and a lovely pack of biscuits. House has a well-equipped kitchen with all you need. Lovely courtyard. Nice with driveway to park. It is narrow but we managed fine, and it is perfectly possible to reverse on to main road - cars will stop and let you out. Note that to use the oven you need to set the timer, or it won't heat!

Not much, we really were very pleased. It could have been a bith cleaner. Cutlery drawer, oven and kitchen cupboard were not clean, and the house was a bit dusty. The house is located right on the main road, so there is noise from traffic. It did not bother us, but had we needed to have the windows open, it would have been quite noisy. Nice that there are board games, but they are all missing lots of bits. Bring slippers as, in a few places on the stairs, you can feel sharp bits through the carpet.

Great space, much bigger than it looked on the photos. Comfortable beds, good heating so lovely and warm, combi boiler for hot water. Secondary double glazing is excellent - it is on quite a busy road but we weren’t aware of any traffic noise. Really worked for our family group of five adults, only one bathroom but we were fine with that. Main bedroom is really big. Would definitely book again if we were in the area again. Parking for 2-3 cars, recommend reversing in as on a busy road.

Nothing really, could do with a bit of a spruce up in the bathroom and perhaps reassess the kitchen crockery - only four mugs for a five bed property… Also didn’t have any instructions for the oven which made for a bit of confusion on the first night, or any recycling/rubbish instructions which is unusual these days.

Great central location in Calne, in walking distance to shops and town centre. Perfect for us to meet family nearby, and lots to do in this area of Wiltshire. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beautiful flowers on arrival and plenty to read and look up for the area. Could have stayed longer just to read the books and helpful information!

Just to take care when parking as narrow driveway, but we managed absolutely fine to reverse in. Couldn't find the outside light when unlocking the door at night, I think there was a switch for one, so probably just the bulb gone :-)

very nice place and so cozy. rooms are huge compared to other airbnb in England. beautiful surroundings. bus stops 2 minute walk away and a quick 10 min walk into town for groceries and restaurants. we were welcomed with fresh flowers, scones and jam.

house has steep stairs which is not a negative, its actually quirky but you do have to be careful when coming down.
