Snowdonia Cottages

Location really nice. Cottages well equipped and cosy.

Didn't see any staff throughout the stay. Water - very hot. Plumbing - quite noisy.

Clean, and excellent location

We enjoyed the location of the cottage - a short drive outside the town, in lovely countryside. We had planned to self cater for our 3 nights in the cottage - and found it had all we needed to do this. If you didn't want to do this/or drive into Conwy but fancied eating/drinking in a more local pub, there are two options within walkable distance for most people (minimum of approx. 20mins). We particularly enjoyed the one in Rowen (and had a lovely walk around the small hamlet afterwards - admiring all the gardens in bloom). A table and chairs were available for sitting outside the property - a nice touch. We also spent some time walking around the (very) nearby Conwy Water Gardens. Free entry was a bonus.

We loved the cute & cosy cottage interior - and would not hesitate to stay there again. Just a couple of things to help others when deciding if this is the place for you... 1. Our cottage (Granary) did have a circular staircase in the middle of the room that housed the living/kitchen area. This meant being careful when moving around the small area to ensure you didn't hit your head off it and of course, you had to climb the twisty stairs to get to the bedroom. Not a problem for us, but anyone with mobility issues/difficulty getting around, might find it more difficult. Worth checking with the owners to see if one of the other cottages has a better layout for you rather than miss the chance to stay in this lovely place. 2. The cottages are quite close to a large house/holiday let (not run by the same people who operate these cottages). The weekend we were there it seemed to be housing a lot of ladies (upwards of 10 certainly) - and they spent a number of hours enjoying the garden area/jacuzzis that were provided. This did mean we could clearly hear the chatter. So if one of your "non negotiables" is peace & quiet, this might be something to consider. For us, we were out most of the day and the ladies were sensible/went inside later in the evening - so we found we weren't really bothered at all. I did hesitate to mention these two issues as both had very little effect on us - but it seems only fair, as it might help others.

Great location for experiencing multiple locations. Cottage was very nice.

It was easy to find. Plenty of room to park

The shower head kept flopping down and pressure was average because the hot water wasn’t hot enough to use the cold water tap

When someone was in the next apartment you could here them.walking around and using the water like they were in your apartment bit off putting at first because you thought they were I. Your apartment
