Tucked away high on the hills, peaceful and quiet. It was well-maintained and the kitchen well-equipped. Although it was high up and quite a distance from the town, not a problem for us as we had car.

If this house is available, book it without a second thought, but only of you have your own car. Lovely house perched high up on the mountain with a fabulous view of the Flam valley. Clean, well equipped kitchen and a charming living room. Backyard has a seating area where one can soak in the views as lambs frolic in the meadows nearby. We had only 2 days here - would have loved to spend at least a week!

All houses and apartments in Europe need to be equipped with fans now. June is a hot season, even in Norway :( This house is high up on the mountain overlooking Flam - a very steep drive with hairpin bends takes you there - book this place only if you're driving here.

This is a very neat property! It's a mix of old Scandinavian cottage/mountain home, with some modern interior touches added! We enjoyed the multiple bedroom layout so that we could spread out, as well as the updated kitchen and huge bathroom. Oh yes, and how about that view? The drive up the mountain may not be for the faint of heart!

It was not particularly difficult to pick the keys up, but we would have preferred that there was a lock box on the property.

The location was amazing and in complete contrast to our urban stay in Oslo. The lodge was warm and cozy and extremely comfortable. The views are literally out of this world!

There is nothing we would criticise this property for other than it could do with a kettle and a toaster but that is just our preference. We managed without so not a real issue. You definitely need a car to access this property. We arrived in Flam on the train and couldn’t get a taxi but fortunately the owners came to our rescue and drove us up there and collected us for our return journey. We walked into the town on our first day which took about 75 minutes and did manage to get a taxi to get back.
