Salty Splash & Kyma Sirma Klima

The location is just incredible. The most picture perfect place you will ever stay. The room was spacious, well equipped, nice furniture, good aircon and a very comfortable bed.

The location was great, although it took a while to get used to. The ocean laps at your front door and there’s a continual stream of tourists taking photos on your doorstep, both of the view, the boat houses and of the room while you’re standing there!

The air conditioner was broken and despite calls to have it fixed, it wasn’t. The fan worked well which was necessary because there were no windows, just the front door. The toaster was broken and the hot water was inconsistent. There was a coffee machine supplied but no pods. There was only one wine glass and no sharp knife to cut fruit or cheese. These little things can turn you off and for the price, should be rectified. The suitcases had to be wheeled in on a wheel barrow because the path is so wet and uneven. Despite this, it was a unique experience worth having.

We loved so many things - from the beauty of the surrounding neighborhood, to the store and awesome owner next door, the peaceful evenings on the water, and the short drive to the nearby towns. It was so unique and special to stay directly on the water - we didn't stay in a place anywhere else like this in Greece.

There was no internet (and the neighbor said this has been a problem with prior guests), and the TV remote and fan remote did not work.

Location is great! Was wonderful to wake up and open the door directly onto the bay. The area is separated from much of the rest of the island (though none of the island is all that busy).

“sirma” type ground level apartment tastefully renovated with modern amenities (including fans, AC, TV, kitchen with coffee machine and fridge) and nice set of chairs and table for the outside area that is directly on the water. Breakfast box delivery is fabulous since there is only 1 restaurant in the area (no mini market). Great cleaning service.

Run by a management company, lack of personal rapport. Lack of info on options for breakfast delivery by check in agent (figured things out directly with resto). Lack of amenities which are needed since this location is away from shops (15 minutes by car in an uphill difficult road) ..eg the facility included coffee machine but no espresso / coffee capsules, a clothesline but no clothespins / clothes peg), 1 wine glass only, 1 water bottle, lack of mosquito repellent machine, batteries dead in fan remote control (check-in agent said that they could not do something about it, we could just skip using fan, which is not a good idea in the summer…ended up replacing these ourselves). Note that as Klima is popular for tourist stops, there are people walking by often especially early morning and sunset time..not very private but it is part of the experience. Note that the beach in Klima is relatively small, great to just hang out but may not be the best option for swimming.

We did not have hot water the first night or wifi, but we were in Greece. 😉
