We totally enjoyed our stay in this machiya. The house design is lovely, it is just the right mix of traditional and modern Japanese house design and concept. There is almost everything you may need for comfortable stay. Location is also nice, it is in a quiet residential area with train station, bus stops, convenience stores, and supermarket just in a few min walk away. It takes just 10 min on foot to get to Umekoji park, and if you like walking you can easily get to Kyoto station on foot as well (if walking is not your thing, the bus and train is quite convenient too). Finally, the staff is really nice and very-very helpful. Whenever I contacted staff through booking chat with questions or requests the answer always was timely, polite, and helpful. Overall, if I go to Kyoto with my family again, I definetly would like to stay at this place again.
