The location is convenient, only 5 minute walk from 東福寺 station, and there are convenience stores and restaurants near JR station. The window is traditional and not airtight. Therefore it can be chilly indoors during winter days. Air conditioning helps but not enough. There’s one heater available upon request, which can be used in the living room. Bedroom can be really cold as well. Probably a good place to stay if not in winter days.

Very homey feel and very traditional Japanese style, while still having modern necessities. The host was also very accommodating, he was always quick to reply when messaging and helped us when it was very snowy outside.

Traditional Japanese style and good location with just a 4 minutes walk from the train station. Very convenient if you are travelling to Kyoto area.

The staircase is too steep for elder.

The location is very convenient, close to the centre, subway and bus.

It seems the house is not very well protected against the cold weather conditions. We got cold.
