The location is amazing and incredibly special. Off-set with the retro character and decor, and indoor-outdoor living to make the most of the setting and view. Love it.

"Location was very good for us as close to Mapua Village."

It would have been really nice if there was some milk in the fridge upon arrival. Less than $2 for a small bottle from the supermarket. Because we arrived after dark after completing Abel Tasman, 4 square was closed and no milk in fridge for morning coffee.

"Bliss - a small slice of heaven!"

Apple Pickers' Cottages exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. The host could not have been more friendly and welcoming, and Karaka Cottage was an absolute delight from the wonderful modern-retro furnishings, to the tranquil setting and the beautiful views from every window. I could not recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back! Fabulous!

The estuary is gorgeous, and the cottage is beautifully furnished in what feels like an authentic 50s style. We loved it, and are already scheming up a return. I would definitely add on the breakfast basket. We thought it was delicious and really fun to try jams and honey from the property.
