Garavogue Villa

This place is amazing: clean, comfortable, has everything you need and more and very conveniently located. My second visit and I loved it as much this time as I did the first.

The house is clean and cosy. The kitchen has everything you need. Nice touches with milk, butter, bread, cereals, etc. Dishwasher and laundry area are available under the stairs. Great quality high chair and travel cot available. They also provide a mattress and sheets for the travel cot which are both in perfect condition.

Very sharp tacks/nails are sticking up through the carpets at the thresholds of the bedrooms and along the window in the double bedroom so mind your feet. I got stabbed several times. We had a toddler so lay thick towels down for when he was running and crawling about but he still got little stabs in his knees. I cannot recommend staying in a property that you cannot lock from the inside. I read this afternoon in another review that a key was available on request. This should absolutely be available as a given, especially when you have booked with children, and failing that it should most definitely be mentioned at booking. To facilitate cleaning, check-out time is 10am!! I didn't realise this at booking. I travel a lot and have never seen this before. It ended up putting such a dampener on the weekend and sadly it cut in to our Saturday evening when we were supposed to be enjoying our weekend away. I left a wedding reception early to get ahead on packing to give us a chance of getting out the door with a grandparent and a toddler for 10am on a Sunday. It also meant we were unable to all have breakfast together in the house the next morning. For this reason, I do not believe the property is value for money or a good choice for a weekend away. The house was really lovely with lots of little extras such as items for breakfast. The cot was set up ready to go which made life easier. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived.

Keyless entry via remote access pad, very easy and flexible as I arrived early as I travelled from the UK and flight times are limited, Hosts were very accommodating for my check in and out times, Excellent property, very clean and modernised, Communication was brilliant and response was almost immediate, Chris and Colette really put a lot of thought into the accommodation, we had a comfortable stay and all essentials were available to get you started, A big thanks for the breakfast pack provided. it really was a home from home, I look forward to my next stay, highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in Sligo! thanks Again,

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Only a short walk into Sligo and good value for money. Highly recommend!
