Laytons Loft Bed and Breakfast

Great price. Nice quiet and cozy location. Very comfortable! There was plenty of parking space for us towing a small trailer. Well-appointed kitchen. Delicious breakfast food. A great little B&B!! :)

Location, value, amenities.

Nothing.

We loved the quirky layout- it was interesting and fun. The bed was comfortable. It was fun to make our own omelets with the fresh ingredients left for us in the fridge.

It was close to my son's house and it was clean.

Hosts fail to tell on their sites (this one, Expedia, etc.) that the CEILING IN THE UPSTAIRS IN ONLY ABOUT 5' HIGH. This is where the "living room" and large TV are. MY BROTHER HAD TO STOOP OVER THE ENTIRE TIME!!!! Also, the "stairs" are a strange arrangement, not allowing for secure foot placement. I didn't dare go up there the entire time of our stay. There is absolutely NO WAY this is "wheelchair accessible". There is only about a foot between the refrigerator and stove to get into the cubbyhole that is the "kitchen" - and the sink and counters are in the next room!!! Also, the door opens onto the bed that is downstairs. No way a wheelchair would ever make it through there. You walk through this room to get to the refrigerator, microwave and stove, so no privacy. Very cramped, very misrepresented. Very disappointed. Owners are also trying to vend homemade food items by having them in the remodeled garage, but you can't use them without purchasing them. No easy view except of the neighbors across the street - and certainly not "by a lake" or "IN the mountains" as advertised on Expedia. The "ala carte or American breakfast" is simply a dozen eggs left in the refrigerator with some chopped mushrooms, bell pepper sand shredded cheese. Very disappointed - I could go on................ IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5' TALL you will never be comfortable here.
