Beautiful grounds and incredible view of the lake and very private.

The property was musty, dusty and full of dead bugs. Spa is not functional. No equipment for the lawn tennis. Showers had soap scum and hadn’t been cleaned properly ( a glass kitchen bowl was in one shower and soap dripping in the other.

The view was great, quiet location. Had lots of lovely wildlife including 3 deer, quails & rabbits visit us. The beds were comfortable.

Clearly the home had not been checked recently as on arrival we discovered that a bird had been inside so there were bird faeces on the furniture. There were no fire lighters or newspaper to assist with lighting the fire. There were no tea towels, hand towel, dish cloth or dish brush in the kitchen. The Wifi code on the signs was incorrect. There were no spare blankets for the beds. I phoned Bachcare, was given the passcode and some tea towels and a spare duvet were delivered whilst we were out, but no cleaning or dishcloths. The BBQ gas bottle was very low, so only risked cooking on the BBQ once. There were lots of cleaning products under the kitchen sink but no utensils or cloths to assist with cleaning. The water pressure was very poor - it was not possible to have 2 people showering at the same time. There is spa pool but it was not filled so not usable, for the price we paid that would have been nice.

Location was beautiful. Bathrooms were recently renovated.

The bedrooms and living space is in need of an uplift, carpets, curtains etc. The ‘sun room’ cannot be used as an additional bedroom - was dirty and unsafe (unused and dirty hot tub? Spider webs etc). Outside furniture needs replacing, is eroded, unsafe and covered in spiderwebs. Some crockery needed rewashing as was not clean. The pictures provided to advertise are deceiving. Very expensive for the level of accommodation provided. Needs investment to modernize and make more comfortable. Also, there is a notice to say you can only leave one (small) bag of garbage otherwise you will be charged a fee. This is not explained at the time of booking and is a ridiculous rule given it is a large family home where you will likely have a significant number of people staying for a potentially reasonable length of stay. Needs air con units. Fans did not cut it! Fortunately we were only there two nights.

The location was beautiful and it had stunning views. Close to most facilities and private.

I would just like to say I have never had to do a bad review about any of the properties we have stayed in, but I have had no choice but to be honest about this one and the experience my poor family had to endure. The outside of house was filthy, broken stairs, grass growing through the deck, which we had to remove,on arrival, spider webs everywhere, dirty slippery decks and the outdoor furniture was filled with spiders and webs, not been cleaned for along time. Lichen covered sky light windows so you couldn’t even see through them. Didn’t even come close to what was advertised. Inside was even more disappointing mouldy curtains and window tracks full of dead bugs and mould, spider webs, dead flies, ripped wall paper, holes in the walls, rat traps literally everywhere, fairly obviously there is a major rodent problem, to the point our family members had to go home early as the rat situation got out of control, with big black rats entering the kitchen and living under the oven, which we managed to video. It got to the point where we had to remove all food from the kitchen into sealed containers, as other rats were coming up on the deck to enter the house right in front of us. With a pregnant daughter and two year old grandson staying with us, these conditions under no circumstances are acceptable. The horrible diseases that rats carry are too vast to mention, because the list is so long, rats are a HUGE health hazard. As a family we just don’t want anyone else to experience what we had to go through at a time we were meant to relax and enjoy a well deserved holiday after a challenging year. We feel very disappointed that we paid alot of money for a property that is far below the level we would expect and fairly obviously the property manager, cleaners and owners need to take a close look at the level of quality your company are representing.
