The Snuggery

A lovely light, airy cottage as a base for exploring the area. Being able to self cater for part of our holiday helps us to eat our normal foods & reduce costs.

The pillows were lacking in substance! A mixture of types can help everyone find their favourite. The long list of cleaning tasks is something we have never found before. 😞

Location, facilities and cleanliness was excellent. The scones were a nice touch and delicious!

WiFi was not great but to be expected given the location.

The cottage was beautiful and comfy , being welcomed with a fresh cream tea and eggs and flowers was a lovely touch. The bed was so comfy each night , we didn't want to get out ,with an underfloor heating system throughout to warm our feet . The most helpful hosts , who kept us updated prior to visit .. with plenty of places to go and visit The cottage is ideally placed to travel all around Cornwall's amazing landmarks. We will definitely be back to this beautiful place in the near future .. an absolute gem

Good location, comfortable bed, good seating area, well-planned kitchen area.

We were surprised to be expected to do so much cleaning upon our departure. We have stayed in many different self-catering places over the years and have always adhered to the usual requests e.g. strip the beds, dirty towels in the bath etc. And, of course, we always do leave such accommodation tidy, used dishes cleaned etc. However, we have never been asked to put all dishes through the dishwasher, disinfect all work-surfaces, and certainly never asked to vacuum and mop floors! I tried to vacuum the floor, and yes I would have done a cursory `mop' but the vacuum cleaner was so smelly and the brushes disgustingly clogged up with clumps of dog hairs, that I gave up as it put down more than it picked up. So, had the previous paying guests vacuumed after themselves, but the cottage not then been professionally cleaned? Can't imagine a professional would have left the vacuum cleaner such. And we didn't break the freezer door in the fridge - someone had `repaired it' by jamming a clothes-peg in place which fell out every time we opened the door! Hadn't been warned about that - but I know things can happen `at the last minute.' The lights in the seating area didn't seem to work, nor did the towel rail, we probably should have mentioned these to the hosts, but we were only there for 3 nights, so didn't bother. Liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and bedroom. Overall the cottage was comfortable, well-decorated and presented, in a location suitable for us, and the given directions to the cottage were good. The usual `welcome tray' complete with camelia, and basic goods were appreciated. The contact prior to our visit was good, but didn't meet the hosts except briefly upon our arrival.

Very friendly hosts, dog friendly, spacious accommodation, great kitchen, lovely grounds.

The cottage had a lovely bath but difficult to use if a larger person. This cottage is not for the physically impaired

We liked everything, heated floors were so nice for our stay in February. Lovely scones on arrival and very well equipped.

The only minor issue was the WiFi which dropped out from time to time. However this may have been weather related.
