Very hard to communicate to begin with because the host did not speak a word of English. The house was two stories high, several stairs. It wasn’t clean and felt very uncomfortable. The showers did not work properly. Very disappointed with the stay and wish we had never booked.

Large house in the middle of the vineyards, in a small hamlet. Large, perfectly furnished rooms. Very friendly and helpful owners

Beds and parquet cracking at every tiny move made at night... Farm fogs in numerous kennels of the vicinity howling for hours in the very early morning...

Great hosts who couldn’t do enough for us, beautiful house which was well equipped and perfectly located

Too many stairs but bearable .

It was a beautiful place ona family vineyard. We didn't know it when we booked the place, but the house sits on top of the area where they stomp the grapes and make the wine! The owner came and gave is a full tour in the morning before we checked out. We stopped there after getting married in Porto and this was such a special memory to us along the way. I brought the wine bottle home to save the memories for our future anniversaries. His port wine was the best wine that we had on our entire trip 😊🍇

Exceptional outdoor terrace and view over Julio's vineyards. Julio is the nicest, sweetest, most welcoming host. We also loved that we got a sense of how real Portuguese live -- what their accommodations are like. Julio makes his own port and his grape-crushing equipment was on the lower part of the terrace. The house was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable.

Local markets all seemed to be on the other side of the river. This seemed to be a strictly residential area with not much to walk to. But you are not in a city!

Beautiful surroundings in the vineyards. Beautiful Douro Valley. Wonderful host told us about wine production.
