Spacious dining area to sit with friends. Quite near to main attractions. Large bedrooms. Three bathrooms.

No sofa in communal area just table. Bathrooms were quirky but not our style. The kitchen was very small and not very well designed. No coffee machine.

We had the unique experience of staying in a historic house that felt like a medieval castle, right next to the city’s most iconic landmark – the Cathedral of San Martino. The atmosphere was absolutely magical, it truly felt like living inside history – something we will never forget. Everything was very clean and well organized. We were warmly welcomed by the representatives of Smart, including a very kind lady who even helped us park and explained everything in detail. The location is unbeatable, the experience was authentic and memorable, and we are already planning to come back. We highly recommend it to everyone looking for a truly special stay in Lucca!

The location was excellent and the house has been lovingly decorated to make the most of the medieval setting whilst still offering modern comforts. The hosts Roberto and Guilia were very helpful and arrival was very smooth

The Property slept 6 so 6 chairs for the small terrace would have been appriciated

We loved loved loved our stay, we wish we could have stayed longer! The decor and the ambiance made us feel like we were staying in a castle. We loved the town of Lucca and want to go back. Highly recommend this place to stay.

It was great to be located within the city walls of Lucca, steps away from the cathedral and within a short walking distance of everything in the city - restaurants, the walking path on the city walls, the train station, and shopping. The AC was essential during our stay in late July. And the renovation of this property is just outstanding. You feel like you are in an ancient property in Italy but with contemporary conveniences.

Whoever stays on the 4th floor better enjoy walking up 3 floors of steps!! But our daughters got used to it. :) The common area for the apartment is really a dining room, so don’t expect to be lounging together except when sitting at the large table. This was fine for us as we were always on the go.
