Myoko Woodland Lodge

The property was spacious, well appointed, very clean, and the hosts were extremely helpful. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Everything was exceptional. Matt was a brilliant host, and was very timely with communication. The lodge was clean and beautifully presented.

Matt is a very nice host and house is very cozy to stay. We enjoyed our stay there.

Matt is a very kind host who waited on site for us to arrive, and to personally welcome us and show us how unlock the garage. He even baked an entire sourdough bun for us as a welcome gift, which was very sweet and pleasant surprise. The house was huge and comfortable, and well stocked with coffee beans, a coffee grinder, a French press, green tea leaves, hot chocolate powder mix, and the hosts even left a bottle of apple juice, water and milk for us to enjoy. Very thoughtful indeed, we felt like we were putting up at an old friend's home! The lodge manifested my long time dream of staying in a cozy cabin in the woods.

Opening and closing of the garage door daily when heading out was quite inconvenient and a hassle. Maybe you could consider upgrading it to an automated shutter!

Charming and cosy lodge, excellent location - only 3 mins drive to Okakura onsen ski resort and local restaurants. Well equipped house and great communication with the host.

Hot water system takes a while to work in, access from the garage via steep/narrow staircase may be challenging transporting luggage especially for elderly people but front door access available.

Large house with great facilities.

Fabulous location, great amenities, the parking garage fits 2 cars nicely and is good shelter from the abundant snow. Well equipped kitchen. Drying rack provided and our ski stuff dried quickly. Matt was super kind and helped to clear the driveway every morning after fresh snowfall. Supermarkets /711 is about 8- 10min drive away.

Nothing major - There was a fair number of beetles in the house but they weren't bothersome.
