NZNZIt was a rustic period house from the days of the railway....which is what we expected. It was quiet, well positioned and I would consider booking it again to go biking .

NZThe reason I gave it an excellent rating is for many reasons. It feels like home. The Shunters cottage is themed around a bygone era. All of the necessities/appliances are there. The street is extremely quiet as it fronts on to a private road across from the old railway yard - you feel like you have stepped back in time. The cottage and yard are roomy. The proximity to town is a very short drive, even a nice walk to the supermarket is doable. We have stayed here twice now and will make it a regular when travelling.
I have no complaints!
