Casa da Eira

The location is great, in a nice quite villgae. the house is beautiful, the kitchen had enough for us to have breakfast and cook other meals. the owners were responsive and available when needed. We had trouble with A/C and fireplace and talked with teh owner, she came immediately, replaced the A/C control and helped us with the fireplace. she emphasized she would be available for anything else if we needed.

The house is good for spring and summer, but unfortunately not equipped for winter temperature and humidity. there's an A/C devide and fireplace, but for some reason the A/C power was generally week and the fireplace didn't work correctly, despite the owner's efforts to help. We only stayed for 2 nights. I was a bit disappointed not to have at least one bottle of water when we arrived, Usualy in other places there's always one or two local products for the guests on arrival, like a treat, specially because the location is remote and there's no easy access to supermakets by walking distance. Anyway, I am confident the owners will improve these little details, because the house has a lot of potential.

best spot to stay with a big family or friends: we rented two entire homes and had a great time. it has aircon, so the cold march nights are not that scary. wish to spend more time there! thank you! will come back!

in one room there was no window, it’s typical Portuguese planning, but looks creepy for those who haven’t seen it before. still it’s just a traditional theme, not a minus.
