It was good value for money in a good location and spacious for our family of 4 with pets.

It was possibly a little too quirky for us, it was very comfortable with good facilities, clean and tidy, just quirky.

"A very special, historic place"

I was so thrilled to find this place, as it has historic connections for our family from around 100 years ago. I was a little nervous that it might be a bit cramped for 6 of us, but it was actually very spacious. It's been done out so beautifully and sympathetically. It's also a lovely village and we spent a fabulous weekend here with family, reminiscing and exploring. There are great pubs within reasonable walking distance, such as the Boathouse at Wylam and Ye Olde Cross at Ryton (a wonderful community-owned place). The hosts, Michael and Lisa, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

Can't think of anything: it was just perfect.

A light at the bottom of the stairs would be useful.

Lovely place in a quiet location. Nice welcome on arrival, good facilities within the Iron Chapel.

We enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again. The mattresses were not bad but could be even better.
