"Fine for a short stay"

6.0

The location was good for exploring the wonderful Benbulbin and Gleniff Horseshoe attractions. The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were ample towels.

The bathroom could do with upgrading. A microwave oven would have been useful.

"Nice location but..."

5.0

Beautiful quiet rural location. Close to sea and all major attractions.

Mirror positioned too high in bathroom. No bath mat. Shower was a mere trickle. Couches filthy (see picture). One with broken springs and positioned against a wall and my son whacked his head on the wall when he sat down on it. No microwave despite being clearly listed in facilities. Owner ignored my two attempts to query this. No mirrors in any bedroom for make up applications or hair styling. Very impractical with teenagers. One mirror hanging over a door facing into hall. House full of spiders. Kitchen cutlery drawer a hazard to open [mentioned in other reviews). Bedroom doors sticking. Needs a good clean and bathroom needs updating. Our clothes felt cold and damp so house clearly needs attention. No instructions on how to use the heating system. An iron and ironing board would be useful.

"So little work required to bring this up to date. Renovation of bathroom essential"

5.0

It was clean and some items electrical items recently replaced. Quiet location but not great outlook. Lots of equipment in the kitchen. Good sky tv.

Settee needs replacing so uncomfortable. The hand shower over a bath is a dangerous hazard. Very little shower pressure. Toilet bowl needs descaling, toilet needs seat replacement, remove plastic curtain. Not a lot of nice homely items. No access to what seems like an en-suite. Decking and shed needs painting. Metal bikes and trampoline dumped in the hedge needs removal

A nice cottage with everthing you need. Perfect spot for day trips and hiking.

The water pressure in the shower is too low.

"The heatd floor is great on chilly, wet days."

6.0

This is a very quiet, very roomy, very rural house, and we enjoyed all of those things about it.

The shower pressure was non-existent; made my partner very grumpy. And the kitchen... while we applaud using cabinets from the seconds section of IKEA, they are so badly mounted that one has to open a door in order to get drawers open -- a constant finger-pinching experience, and just overall very unhandy if you're actually cooking a meal. There are not enough pots and frying pans, and the silverware is so cheap it hurts your lips.
