Barn Cottage

Such wonderful cosy cottage. We had time to recharge our batteries. It snowed overnight and the scenery was just breath-taking. The cottage was already warm when we arrived and the supplementary coffee and milk was very welcomed. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to cook ourselves dinner and breakfast. The perfect place to get time for yourself.

this property is in a gorgeous location with stunning views, lovely walks and close enough to many attractions by car beds were really comfortable loved the outdoor terrace log burner was a lovely touch although wood was a little too damp to keep it going host was friendly and welcoming lovely bedding and clean, soft towels

there was a slight damp / musty smell evident in the downstairs of the property, we weren’t sure whether it was from some of the furnishings ie the rug or more general. this may have been more evident to us as we travelled with a young baby and no pets. however upstairs did not have this issue! the bathroom could do with updating the microwave and a few kitchen utensils could have done with a deeper clean

The Location is amazing & the Property is charming. The host was welcoming and the family pets too. The cooffess & fresh milk with biscuits waiting for us was a lovely touch. Kitchen facilities are great & the Patio is lovely. The beds are super comfy and the bedding is also great. That alongside the absolute darkness and peace at night made for great sleep. Also, I like the Eco Friendly aspect of the whole farm. I would definitely stay here again.

Just a few home comforts to be easily accessible ie: Iron, Hairdryer. Also the Laundry area could be set out better to be inviting, I felt like I would be invading the owners space. This wasn't really an issue for us, as our stay was only short but if it was for longer (which I would love) it might be difficult. Lastly, the soft furninshing are a bit tired and a little update would be nice. Only small things really.

Amazing views, inside the cottage is full of charm and character. Our kids loved the dogs, horses & sheep on the farm nice to have outside spaces as well as the lovely cottage. We even got to use the BBQ hut which was a highlight!
