Vale Farm Cottages

It was cosy and peaceful. Nice pool and hot tub which we had to ourselves most of the time,

The location is isolated from the civilisation, and it was pleasantly quiet. The nighttime sky was absolutely gorgeous (when we were lucky enough to have a clear sky night), and the surrounding area was so tranquil and peaceful. House was well equipped for our needs, with consideration to families with toddlers (e.g. plastic cutlery and crockery for children, stair gate, travel cot, high chair). The swimming pool was clean and well kept, if a little bit small. The cottage had a handy little guide on local walks, restaurants and attractions which made our initial exploring a little bit easier. The host was really friendly and pleasant to chat with. We also noticed a considerable amount of effort for the cottages to be eco friendly, which is always a plus in my book.

The description on this site implies that each cottage has its own washing machine, however this is only the case with the biggest ones. Otherwise you have to share a washing machine that can be only accessed when the swimming pool is open. The parking was quite tight, and frankly most of the space was taken over by guests from two biggest cottages - had other smaller cottages (like ours) been occupied during our visit, I suspect we would struggle to park our one car without blocking any paths. The access to and from cottages is via a very steep incline and narrow road, which is not recommended for cars with small engines (even with eco boost) - I suspect there is a reason why most of the locals seem to be driving 4x4s!

The size of the property - and the number of toilets/bath and shower facilities. Well equipped kitchen with every possible utensil. Welcoming Welsh Cakes left for us. There was tea and coffee and sugar too and enough soap/washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets/toilet rolls. Wood was provided for the log burner. Dog bowl and poo bags and a poo bin for the dogs. Clear recycling and waste bins. Swimming pool and hot tub were great - especially after some long hikes. Sheep outside the bedroom window - and a beautiful view from the big window. The host responded to every message very quickly.

We had no issues with the property at all.

Everything it was perfect the owner was lovely the cottage was clean and cosy.The pool and hot tub was lovely with a beatiful view from the hot tub and there was also a playground which was great for my little one .I highly recommend staying here we will definitely be returning 😊

Beautiful location, comfortable accommodation

The hosts were really helpful from as soon as I made the booking and really quick at replying to messages. The location is stunning and the balcony is perfect for breakfast! It's quite out the way which was lovely but you do need a car. Loads of places for walking and things to visit around the place. Having a pool and hot tub on site was really nice too.
