"Exceptional"

A unique experience! The property is beautiful and located right in the middle of the historic Sassi. It has a magic secluded courtyard where you can enjoy a cold wine after a day of exploring. The building is carved into the rock, but thanks to the dehumidifier, the atmosphere is perfect with no trace of damp. The young couple who own the property could not be more friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

great location easy access loved the outdoor space, apartment had everything we required even supplied breakfast, which made the whole stay more relaxing authentic cave dwelling combined with modern comforts

"Superb"

Our stay at Sassi Sotto Le Stelle was really enjoyable. Vitto, our host, collected us from the bus area, which is a little out of the main town, and drove us to the property. It is right in the old town, really close to all of the main sites and the apartment itself was spotlessly clean and well kept. It had everything that we could possibly want for our stay in Matera and was a relaxing and quiet oasis after a day out walking and sightseeing. We are so pleased that we chose Sassi Sotto Le Stelle to stay in Matera, it's a beautiful place and exceeded our expectations. Thank you!!
