Such a cute house in a sleeping village where time does not exist and all your worries are away. We enjoyd the unique and cute house and the owners were very helpful with our questions.

Only minus was that our car did not fit the streets of the village. But the walk was 2 minutes to the "parking" that one friendly lady allowed us to have.

Beautiful location neighboring Geres, the only national park in Portugal, a perfect getaway from the major cities and resorts and snapshot into rural Portuguese life. Comfortable apartment, all facilities provided for a pleasant stay. Very peaceful and with a panoramic view of the sunset over the valley. Covide village is very quaint, like stepping 50 years back in time. Handful of restaurants near by. Overall comfortable stay. Would recommend if looking for an "off the beaten track" get away!

Location on Booking.com incorrect, and not on Google maps so had to call the owner to find it, a tricky task when I don't speak Portuguese! Be careful if you've got a rental car. If it's too big I wouldn't want to risk squeezing it through the cobble stone lanes (though this is part of Covide's delightful Charm!) Owner did very kindly drive out to find me after I messaged her when I got lost. The apartment is actually located at the top of the village, near the bend on Rua do Fajeco & Near Casa da Minera on Google Maps. The other end of the village near the church. If coming from Porto/Braga direction don't approach from the bend near Cafe Erikas Follow the road up hill until the junction, and turn left continuing on the N307, past Cafe Turismo towards Campo de Geres. Turn left on the steep bend approx 1km from the Cafe, following signs for Igera. Turn right slightly up hill and follow Rua Fajeco down the hill and you'll see the apartment. Lots of flies buzzing around in the afternoon some fly spray would be good. No bowls provided, only plates and no sharp knives. Shower alternated between very hot and very cold.
