"Very good"

8.0

Pretty cottage, nicely decorated with some thoughtful touches Good size rooms - although the table and chairs squeezed under the stairs does not work and is not really usable. The kitchen is modern and has all basic equipment Large two level outdoor area with seating and great views Quiet location approximately 15/20 mins walk from central Hexham (there is a nearby footpath which is a short cut and brings you out by the bus station ) which has easy transport links to the Hadrians Wall sites. (If you don't have a car, be aware that the walk to the cottage is mostly uphill and quite steep) We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage

These comments are very much the same as numerous others which have been left on this site The cottage was difficult to find, when approaching up the B6306 you need to turn left after Shield Court into Fellside There is no shower and while it looks nice the bath is impractically small There are unnecessary low hanging lights to hit your head on The cottage could do with some maintenance, eg. the sofa and chairs have seen better days, bathroom light switch unreliable and the bathroom hot tap is very loose Unable to turn off the led strip lights in the kitchen and bathroom and no reply from Hexham holiday homes when we asked Freeview TV had poor reception on most channels with no streaming or casting capability (luckily we had a Firestick to stream)

"Very overpriced and would not return"

4.0

Nice viewfrom back bedroom and comfortable beds, good location for Hadrians Wall etc

Only one toilet and very tiny rolltop bath and only handheld shower. If you are taller that 5ft 2" is unsuitable. Lights hanging not working in main bedroom and bathroom light failed mid week! Toaster not working unless you held it down while toasting!,Dining table under stairs wedged in very tightly and so head hit overhead lamp when seated at table. Emailed owner when arrived about issues and did not reply until we were on our way home at the end of the rental. Their response said toaster was working and bathroom lights were ok which was untrue! Also failed to mention that a cottage a few doors away is being refurbished with major building works going on as the entire back wall of the house was missing! Parking was hit and miss. Outside cushions for seats were in store unit but wet. Bins were full already outside. No cooking spices as advertised and only 3 coffee pods for entire stay of one week. No instructions for heating controls.

"Lovely house, Terrible neighborhood"

6.0

- nice house, decorated by someone who cares and loves their own home - nice garden view - amount of birds, wildlife in the garden - fireplace - pigeon fanciers' pigeons flying around in circles

- texted man about passcode to get key on their mandatory app, did not get reply - parking space not available next to the house when plenty of jealous neighbours never move their cars from their house, the car is just an accessory at the front door, causing zero parking space for people who actually use cars - crazy neighbours fighting over parking spaces, an old man shouted at us on the night we arrived that we could not park outside when we were just unloading. - single lane, one way road crammed with houses and mad neighbours who are jealous, sad, selfish and competitive - the same cars fighting for the few spaces available - jealous people talking extremely loudly every morning at the same time every day first thing in the morning at 7am, outside the window to our bedroom, disrupting our sleep and peace - house crammed with too much furniture when there is only space for two people when they say they can take four - one bathroom - ventilation was not good. windows open to the main road where people are walking. after ventilating a bedroom that reeked of teenage deodorant for two weeks, the smell did not go away.

"Pleasant stay within easy reach of town centre"

7.0

Location was ideal, very tranquil but within 5 minutes your in a historical beautiful town, plenty of areas to dine, drink and shop. Or even better to browse though and look at History of the area

The lounge area facilities need updating, although sturdy the cushions / seats need replacing. Bath was to small although a nice feature couldn't bathe / relax easily
