Modern Luxury Beach House Kailua

The location was excellent -- a 5-minute walk to Kalama Beach

We had one night which was unseasonably cold -- and our host provided us with a heavy blanket the next morning. the parking space next to the cottage was not very wide -- two large SUVs would not be able to park in the spaces at the same time

Very comfortable, modern space with great amenities. Kay (owner) was super helpful and friendly with great local knowledge.

Loved the location. We were really able to walk to downtown Kailua and also to the beach.

Location. Close to the beach and close to our family that lives in Hawaii.

The advertisement called it a beach house. More correctly it is a one room studio cottage. It did not have air conditioning

There a million light switches in the house that are confusing (some labeling would be helpful)....but overall

Close distance to my fav.beach "Lanikai" by driving. Beautiful & easy beach for swimming. But a bit far to walk to from our accomodation. This is a great time to visit and stay in Kaiua this "Fall season" Lower tourist population, made it less crowded and more enjoyable to go to all the beaches in Kailua. Happy also that the facility included beach towels, chairs, other beach equipments, W/D, bathroom& kitchen necessities, fans x2, free parking. No AC needed really like the comfortable temp.of the environment,plus some rainfalls too.

The room was a cottage, aka "studio accomodation" for 3 guests. I wanted more privacy from our new added on (guest), who joined us last minute. I felt uncomfortable having to share the whole living room, during sleeping hours since all the beds x2 were in the same room. Plus, the inflatable mattress for the added on guest , which I chose to stay on for the whole time we were there was not 100% comfortable, which I felt that made it undesirable, for having to pay such a high rate/night. Plus my expectation of the facility was not what I saw advertised which is (the 2B/2BA home). Which unfortunately, known to be 2x more/night. Both fans on all night is noisy and difficult to fall asleep.

Great communication, starting with prebooking to a pleasant introductory meeting onsite, made this travel experience professional and secure. The owner was always available, especially when we were hours late for check-in. Surrounded by gardens, well appointed & a short walk to the beach.

The place was close to a great beach. The host provided lots of great beach equipment (chairs, umbrella) and the kitchen was very well equipped. The rooms were big and airy and lovely.

It was all terrific.

It could have used an AC window unit. Very hot in the house even with 3 fans blowing.
