Viking Treehouse with Hot Tub, Sauna, Lake & Deer Park

This place has buzzing reviews, but unfortunately it falls below average. I’ve stayed in all sorts of places from tents, domes, egg nests 0 to 6 star ⭐️ accommodation and unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. Of course, this is my personal account and review Good Points: There are a few animals on site. The Viking House is more private than the other little cabins. The owner replied straight away, even at 4am which showed they are responsive. Hot tub at anytime you request (€70 book in advance, sauna €30). For animal lovers pets allowed for €15 extra.

The place didn’t match the description. The photos are old for sure. Furnishings were mismatched (the leather couch was an eyesore in the wooden house). Some areas were dusty, decking boards questionable, the walking slate panel one is loose that we nearly tripped over(very unsafe for kids). You can’t sit on any chair in this area and just enjoy the surroundings views as the outdoor chairs on the patio are large hard wooden high chairs (no cushions). And the rest are broken and stuffed all together. Surrounding pillars need repainting; the plastic lakeside chair was unstable and when you sat on it, this would tip forward; and the floating water raft just makes the place look even more neglected. The BBQ area was unhygienic there was leftover chicken wings from previous guests that were still in the grill and scattered around the wooden legs of the house. The equipment was dirty, the fire starter bottle was empty. There was no lighter, no kindling, no starter pack just a dirty, neglected pit. Overall, the property feels run down and lacking care & generosity, I reckon it’s more for show, than comfort. Facilities like the hot tub, sauna & boats were actually on the other side of the lake, which was much closer to another cabin, not the Viking House, which made us feel like we were intruding on the others’ guests space. At night, the house came alive with bugs outside trying to get in. The roof made noises like someone was tap dancing or running around. My partner swore she saw a mouse, and at 4am she was packing her bag saying it was the worst place she had ever stayed. I tried to reassure her & investigated, I heard the same noises - the roof was extremely loud & whatever was downstairs was heard to be moving our plastic bag (which had chocolate in it).

Naktsmītne ļoti interesanta. Dizains pievilcīgs,gaumīgs. Klusa vietiņa romantiskai aptūtai. Neiedziļinoties detaļās,forša atpūtas vieta.

Apkārtne prasījās nedaudz sakoptāka,jo no Viking house puses ūdenstilpni nevar labi saskatīt. Dragon house tādā ziņā ir šī priekšrocība. Nedaudz piestrādājot pie vizuālā izskata ārpusē un teritorijas sakopšanas tā būs superīgākā vieta kā randiņa galamērķis :)

Location, kids loved the animals

Futon beds were very uncomfortable. AC power is low, in hot days it may cause that room is very hot.

It was absolutely perfect, kids enjoyed it a lot, if going with small children, keep in mind they need an extra eye on them at all times - steep stairs, closeness of the pond. But our little ones (3 and 5) were really upset that we had to leave. It has been "The best adventure we have ever had!" according to my 5yo. While having absolute privacy, host was available on WhatsApp even after 10pm, when we couldn't figure out the heating.
