"Great place, perfect location and reasonably priced car park nearby"

The studio is beautiful, a classy combination of old Mediterranean charm with skandi practicality. So clean and well cared for you would think you are the first visitor, add to that a welcoming host, a great location, the best view of Matera just around the corner, most attractions just a short walk away (and a reasonably priced 24 hr parking a couple of blocks away, which took away the hassle of carrying luggage up and down Matera’s endless supply of steps!), it was the perfect base to make the most of our Matera trip.

De locatie: een mooi straatje, direct om de hoek van de beroemde Sassi. Het appartement is ook mooi van uiterlijk en inrichting en best ruim. Van alles voorzien, al moet je even zoeken.

Het was erg lawaaierig: een terras bijna vlak voor de deur, wat tot laat doorging. 's-Ochtends om half 7 begon het lawaai weer met het legen van glascontainers, rollende vuilcontainers over het hobbelige pad, etc. Er was gesteld dat je op straat kunt parkeren, maar de (hoofd-)straat zelf is alleen voor bewoners. Verder is het zo druk dat je erg ver weg moet om een plekje te vinden. Het meeste is ook betaald. Na lang rondrijden vonden we een gratis plekje, op zo'n 500 m afstand. Niet handig met veel bagage. 's-Avonds laat kwamen we er achter dat het warm water het niet deed. Te laat om iemand te vragen. 's-Ochtends kwam een onderhoudsman met een ladder. Hij klom door een dakraam naar een plat achter het huis. Daarna deed het het weer. Hadden we niet zelf op kunnen lossen. Goed dat het snel opgelost was.
