"Lovely, clean and authentic stay"

This is one of those places you will not forget! Very authentic and perfectly located. It was very clean, very nicely decorated and the owners were very supportive. Thanks! We enjoyed it - A LOT! For hikers: there's several great hikes going through the village and also some spots to take a refreshing dip in the water.

"Very good"

We made our breakfast with items bought in a super market on our way. The area is amazing beautiful and quiet. The air is super clean. The owner gave the key and explained every question. There is a nice coffee shop near to the room.

The room is not enought ventilated and there is a smell of mildew.

"Gorgeous small schist house in the quiet village of Candal"

To be able to stay two nights in a schist village is a wonderful experience and staying in this accomodation makes it even more so. The house is small but perfectly set up with everything that you need to cook your own food. I really liked the availability of the small outdoor table and chairs that we could set up and enjoy our time soaking up the atmosphere of the quiet/peaceful village. The house is very clean. The host didn't speak English but he had with him a guy to help with translation. Check in and check out was very simple. The city of Lousa is just down the hill where you can get food supplies (Lidl). There are clearly marked walking/hiking paths from Candal leading to the surrounding villages.

We felt the bed was a bit small which is personal preference and the option of a fan would be great during the summer months.
