"Cute, homely cottage"

9.0

Beautiful location. Quiet. Well equipped. Parking easy. Very homely feel. Clean. Travel cot provided which was great so we didn't have to bring one. Perfect for a short stay.

Bed was very bouncy, your knee more or less goes through if you were to kneel on it. The shower was so small it was very difficult to move around in, better off sticking with a bath. Bad smell in the bathroom, assume from the septic tank but can't be helped. It was still very clean. Just think it might be time for a new mattress in the big bedroom. That said, we still slept well.

One of the best places we've ever stayed. It was clean and comfortable to start. Lots of little extra touches to make us feel welcome. The property had so much character with exposed beams that I wished the walls could talk. So much history in a cozy cottage. The church nearby was lovely still, and this building was once a part of the working farm of that church. The updates to building were well thought out and well done. Simply amazing. Good location for National Trust properties.

There are lots of B roads that are single track, but we soon got the hang of it.
