CHARMING EXECUTIVE VICTORIAN MANSION w/ FREE PARKING - near Bucknell

All the extras, snacks and beverages, were so welcoming after the long drive, easy and promo communication with the host, and plenty of room in the well appointed and comfortable home.

The kitchen was fine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The floor was very dirty. Walking in socks the bottom of them were black on white socks! Floor obviously has not been cleaned.

We received the welcoming email the morning of arrival advising us the upstairs bathroom was being rennervated. Had we known prior to arrival we would have cancelled this reservation. This is not right to be advised the day off as this looked like it was started a while ago. packages were being delivered and left at the back door and front steps, and we found this unacceptable, especially the back door where we used to enter the house. There was a tree that had fallen in the front and crushed a portion of the fence! The driveway had not been ploughed and was a sheet of ice. The owner did put salt down, but it was an ice rink trying to get in and out of your car! We arrived a little early and my husband went to see if we could check in a little earlier than our planned arrival and the host was in the house cleaning! The house is absolutely not as being represented as shown on-line! The house needs a lot of work, it is very dirty and dusty, the windows are disgustingly filthy, the carpet on the stairs need cleaning, the couches in the family room need cleaning, the floors need a proper clean and the upstairs bathroom was under construction! I would not recommend anyone stay until a complete thorough cleaning was done.

Very charming place! Liked everything about the house from the decor to the Victorian feels! Host was top notch! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. And would return if ever in the area again! Loved the town as well.

A few of the outlets didn’t work but not a major issue.

Cute, charming, cozy. Plenary of room for 2 families. Very welcoming with chocolates and a btl of wine. Hosts were very accommodating.

Beautiful and comfortable home with all the amenities. Our family loved the large living room and drinking coffee in the upstairs sitting room. The front porch swing was so relaxing. Only 25-30 minutes to williamsport

No TVs in the bedrooms but we brought our own so no big deal.

The inside was filthy. Linens were stained/dirty (hard to tell, probably both as indicated by the rank smell) There was dirt and spiders with spider Webbs at the base of the staircase. Dust and dirt on the base boards. Carpets were filthy and stained. I only checked one bathroom before leaving the property. The shower doors were broken and mildewed. Attached photos show just a bit of the nastiness I encountered. Unfortunately there is no way to capture and share the horrible smell of the linens. They smelled like soured sweat. The photo or the tissue is the dirt accumulated with just a small wipe across the top of the baseboard.
