"The cottage was perfect for us."

The property is in a beautiful location with a lovely garden area. We had everything we could possibly need. The owner went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and even left us some home bakes and milk in the fridge for when we arrived.

Fantastic location, very quiet and a distance to local shop but plan ahead and there’s no issue. The view over the Loch is stunning and the Cuckoo calling from the hillside made for sitting in the garden a pleasure. The property did not need for anything. I’ve never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. Lovely and comfortable beds and furnishings made our stay as relaxing as possible. Would I recommend this cottage to my friends, definitely. We absolutely loved our stay at Cuckoos Rock.

Cuckoos Rock is in my top 3 cottages and I’ve stayed in quite a lot. There was nothing about this cottage that I didn’t like.

Excellent location, well maintained- very clean house - well appointed - every thing you need is there. Loved the welcome tray with lovely baked stuff.

Would have liked the addition of a pair of binoculars ( we travelled by plane with a 15k luggage limit - so couldn’t bring our own !)

"Home from home."

Property felt like being at home. Cosy, warm and homely in every room at all times day and night . Everything you needed on hand. Gorgeous paintings / art work and nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Stunning view. Good size rooms. Games , books , pool table and dvds to keep us entertained. Towels etc all provided - lots of spares. Great communication from Dolly before and during stay.

Beautiful location, house is immaculately clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need while on holiday for the week. The home baking on arrival was lovely and well received by my hungry kids. It's a great location if you want to see both Lewis and Harris.

The cottage is in a beautiful location.it had everything you could want inside including some fabulous home baking on arrival.would thoroughly recommend this property and may return next year.
