"A pleasant place to stay and definitely one we will consider again in the future."

Very quiet location. However I'm a very light sleeper, so I was woken up a few times by traffic passing in the night and early morning even with the windows shut you could still hear vehicles passing occasionally from the bedroom. It's a quiet road so this was not constant. I was also woken up by the various security lights which seem to come on and off don't know what was setting them off but it lights the bedroom up like daylight. The people staying in the cottage next door had a dog which they let out early every morning to yap yap yap. The owners also look after dogs but we rarely heard those barking. You can also hear slamming doors in the next cottage - may have just been those particular guests. So as you can probably guess I had very little sleep but otherwise the hosts are nice, the property is nice inside out and has good facilities. The WiFi is slow but only to be expected of a rural area. There is a large pond in the grounds of the property and there is no fence or gate surrounding it so you cannot just let your kids play outside on their own. So there is room for improvement for better child friendliness. There was 3 of us using the bathroom and the hot water went cold before all of us could shower. There's no electric shower, only a shower attachment from the bath taps. We didn't know how to control the heating. One night the radiator in the hall was on but then other times it wasn't. The property was cool inside most of the time which is good for summer. There do seem to be a lot of insects in this part of Lincolnshire. Overall a nice place to stay. Not far to Mablethorpe or Skegness and plenty of other beaches in the area. Lots of attractions nearby. It's under an hours drive to Fantasy Island theme park. Panda Chinese in Mablethorpe does good food. Loads to see and do in the area and a week just wasn't enough time for us to explore everything.

See above.

"Bliss."

10.0

The cottage has excellent facitilities and is furnished to high standard. The beds were comfortable, the sofas perfect for lounging on. There was a gated patio where we could sit to enjoy a coffee with a permanent covered gazebo so that even the rain didnt stop us being outside. Our dog was able to enjoy this space and have direct access through the patio doors to a garden full of birdsong and native cowslips in full bloom.. The bath was big enough for a large person - which is rare . And the hosts were friendly and contactable as they live next door. This place is heaven for a break. Tea coffee sugar milk and biscuits was provided on arrival so no need to unpack before that first cup of coffee.

The road leading to the cottage has broken up during the winter so you need to take care as you drive up to the house from the Louth direction. Hopefully the council will soon be out to mend it. Not the owners fault.

Very comfortable cottage with all the things you'd have at home. Lots of kitchen utensils not like most self catering places. Jan and Martin are very friendly and helpful.
