"A place I will definitely never forget 😁"

8.0

The location is great, far away from civilization. There are good hiking routes and sights nearby. The nature is beautiful. The hosts are very nice. Beds were okay, bedding items and towels were clean and fine. There's a large yard with some deserted old hen or sheep houses or something like that.

The location is not given correctly on Booking. In fact you will have to drive up a dirt road for at least 15-20 minutes to get to the place from Plavna. So make sure your car is capable for that. The so-called ethno house is an old country house. No problem with that but I wish the hosts could do some minimum renovation before offering it for rent. Inside the house there is an old unpleasant smell from the past. But even that was okay for me (but not for my wife, lol). Not okay: 1. There's an electric boiler available but it lives it's own life. When we switched it on, there was a very thin current of barely warm water coming from the tap. So forget about taking a shower. But maybe that is not even required in an ethnic house. Okay, no big problem with that either. 2. There was no electric cook top and not even an electric kettle in the kitchen. So if you want to drink some tea or coffee in the morning you will need to fire a wooden stove. Okay, maybe that is also an ethnic house feature, but come on, we are not living in the 19th century, there's electricity available, so even in Siberia people have electric kettles and cook tops, lol. 3. The house is a bit spooky because everywhere there are pictures of people who used to live there a long time ago. But that was even fun. To me, not to my wife, once again, lol. She was freaked out with that, hahaha, and I just kept making fun of her because of that. There were also very old chewed-up tooth brushes on the sink in the bathroom. Was it part of the ethno-style as well? I don't know. But it also looked weird and spooky. I think that this house has some potential, but it definitely needs to be taken care of, renovated at least a bit, and the most necessary facilities like an electric kettle need be added. All in all it was an interesting experience. PS. If you are driving in the vicinity during the dark hours, on the motor way, beware of the wild life crossing the road!
