Haus in Istrien direkt am Meer

The property is in walking distance from the really kids friedly beach (quite some available shade from trees, shallow entrance, there is even a small play house next to the beach bar). We really enjoyed paddling through the chanal with our SUP to some of the more secluded small beaches. Bogdan is a fabulous host, cheerful, allways available and very helpful. His property is very well equipped (even two refrigerators), clean and with a nice sheltered terrace in the back (you can comfortably sit there all day even at high temperatures, sun or rain). Due to its setup (3 floors), it stays quite cool in the lower floors and with the AC you can also easily keep the top floor cooled. The 6 of us (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 small kids) had more than enough space. There is no shop in this small town, but there are plenty of shops and a farmers market in 15 minutes driving distance. (The power plant didn't bother us at all.) We definitely plan to come back again.

Overall - we had an awesome vacation in this hause! We were there as a family of two adults and three kids, and the place could easily accomodate even more people. The location is right by the cozy fishermen‘s haven, a treat to look upon from the house‘s balcony or the terrase. Going to the beach is a ~5 min walk along the water (entry free of charge, and having the necessary facilities as well as a nice bar). The water in this „fjord“ is warmer and saltier than in the open sea - which actually makes swimming more pleasant. The hause has air condition (except one bedroom) and absolutely everything that a family needs during 1-2 vacation weeks. The hosts, Bogdan and Milena, are VERY hospitable, helpful and friendly people. We are looking forward to come back the next time!

Nothing really. The is indeed a large power plant at the end of the fjord. But it doesn‘t disturb in any tangible way, and even looks cheerful at nights, with all the lights :)
