Calabrese Family

The apartment was an easy 5 min walk from POMPEI station (45 min walk from Pompei Scavi Misteri station so make sure you book the Trenitalia Pompei train). The apartment is down an alley so is quiet and private. The apartment was just as depicted in the photographs and spotlessly clean. We did not realise that when renting the property you do not automatically get the use of all 3 bedrooms (why we booked this apartment) you only get a bedroom for the number of people staying there. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to stay in when visiting Pompei, it is very close to the ruins and town centre and a short walking distance to a big supermarket.

We could have done with dish towels and maybe an umbrella or two might be useful for the use of guests. But otherwise there was nothing we did not like - all was lovely!

Tiny Moka pot - awkward for 4 of us in the morning !

The view from two of the three bedrooms was breathtaking - Mt Vesuvius trying to look harmless. We got in to town at night, so opening the windows to that view in the morning was exceptional.

Plus-sized people might find the shower cubicle a squeeze. This can’t be helped much, just a comment. Hosts offer lots of towels, so I just left the door open a crack and used the towels to clean up.

The Calabrese Family flat was fabulous! Well equipped, very comfortable, and so handy for walking into Pompeii. There is a private parking space just outside the flat. The bedrooms are large and traditional and the kitchen has everything you need including a large fridge. There is even a washing machine on the balcony. The two brothers who run the flat are really lovely and respond quickly to messages. Highly recommended.

We booked this as a 3-bedroom apartment but it only had 2 bedrooms. Had I known we would only get 2 bedrooms I would have booked elsewhere.
