Woodside Steading

Lovely location & beautiful steading accommodation with friendly hosts who are very welcoming. Everything was spotless, the accommodation was very well equipped, the furnishings were very tasteful and the garden was great with gorgeous views. Perfect for our family group and two dogs. Super treats for both humans and dogs, on arrival! Have already booked our next trip.

Spacious property and well kept garden. Plenty of space in the garden for our dog to stretch his legs. The kitchen had all the crockery, cutlery and utensils needed. Our dog loved the treats left for him and we appreciated the biscuits and wine left for us. The friendly owners live next door but didn’t intrude and were on hand if we needed them. Very grateful for the loan of a harness and lead for our dog when we left ours at a castle 90 mins away! Vielen dank!

Unfortunately a bowl and spoon were dirty (dried on food). The light sensor flicked on and off throughout the night waking us several times (thought it was the strong winds but it happened on calm nights too, didn’t notice it the first night possibly because we were exhausted from the long journey). The en-suite bathroom could do with a thicker curtain, felt ‘vulnerable’ using the loo and bath once it dropped dark so we used the smaller bathroom instead.

The Steading was immaculate with all necessities in place. We were afforded the privacy we desired but Nadja and Jan were on hand if any need arose. Many thanks.

A lovely property - much nicer than in the photos. Very spacious and light. Two full bathrooms with independent hot water systems. Full central heating (although we didn't need it) and a woodburner. Very friendly owners, who live in the next-door (separate and detached) property.

It was all lovely - nothing to dislike - just mind your head on a couple of low doorways if you are tall (it's an old steading, after all).

Lovely property with welcoming hosts. Clean, well equiped with an enclosed garden and lovely views - we've already booked our next stay.
