Beautiful Guest House Kailua Beach

The location was fantastic - 5min walk to the beach with street parking. Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were perfect

The property could have done with air conditioning - it was very warm at night and only had fans

Very comfortable- best sleep on the island. Loved sitting on the lanai for meals- always felt cool and not hot. The guest house was very clean and in good working order and updated. Five minute walk to the beach.

The location is perfect to be near all amenities but, away from all the crowds of downtown Honolulu. Nice beach within 5-minute walk and a great beach within a <10-minute drive.

The only issue was the washer/dryer unit was set up outside of our bathroom window. I didn't know it was shared until I got out of the shower and a woman was standing two feet away. Would have liked a room AC unit since the privacy fence takes away most of the breeze.

Location within walking distance of a public beach was a big plus. In a quiet neighborhood. Ample street parking. The owner provided two beach towels to use during our stay. A clothesline was set up outside - this was thoughtful! Good wifi. The space is relatively large with one main room, a wide, long hallway and large bathroom. Kitchen OK for heating up outside food as there is a large, newer microwave & refrigerator. Not quite enough counter space to actually cook though. (But few visitors actually cook, right?) There was a coffee maker. Thank you!

So much potential! If only there was furniture in the unit; our things lived on the floor. Bedside tables (not small pedestals) would go a long way. Ditto with a narrow table somewhere in the unit The patio was "shared" and there was an entry door kitty-corner to our entry door, so I had to keep the windows closed for privacy. (The blinds were between the window panes. If windows are open - no privacy). Fan was either on full speed or off, making it difficult to adjust temperature. Bed was a low-to-the-ground foam mattress that I found too hot. I spent one night sleeping on the floor on top of my clothes. However, others may not be bothered by this. (If you are, bring along a cooling foam mattress cover.) Finally, be sure to bring your own coffee, filters, creamer, soap, shampoo etc. as this owner did not provide this. There is a Target store close by.

Excellent location, Nice outhouse with everything needed. You can easily go to the beach walking (3min). Very calm neighborhood. Can easily reach out to the landlord, very reactive.
