Olyra Traditional Cave Houses

Dimitra is the perfect host! Staying in her house is a real treat. I adore such places, with hisotry, traditions. Dimitra welcomed us in the middle of the night even though our plane was late, she helped me with the luggage, she helped us book airport transport both ways. She made sure to leave the fridge filled which was a great surprise, and a great convinience. (Though be sure to stop by the bakery in the morning just a short walk away - really good bread!) Very clean! cleaned daily. You can just smell the fresh laundry. Dimitra, thank you so much for adding to the whole experience. I am possitive that if I come back - I will make sure your cave house is available. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

Transport was challenging because out of Summer.

The character of a cave house and the fresh bread, eggs, ham and cheese brought in everyday.

If you are a light sleeper, the other people’s activities (in your own group) may affect your sleep. There is no door in the cave house, it can’t be helped.

The traditional holiday house is very spacious,comfortable and clean. The hostess is as kind as a family member. She picks us up and picks us up in person,and arranges a pickup vehicle for us immediately, so that we can enjoy a wonderful Santorini vacation!

This may have been the coolest place I have ever stayed. The room was truly a cave house, and so comfortably furnished and stylishly decorated. The host was very nice, and I was happy to know that the property had been in her family for generations. Loved it! Highly recommended.

Nothing

This is the most unusual place. An actual cave owned by the family for 200 years. With a very quiet courtyard you share with the other cave. Dimitra the host is just wonderful. Tucked out of the way in Pyrgos with access to a bus line or she will arrange transportation. You can go visit the hotspots like Fira and then take the bus back far from the craziness.

Could have used a bath mat in the shower.

I LOVED everything about this property. You couldn't ask for better service from the host! The property itself is a gem hidden in an even bigger gem. Pyrgos was by far my favorite part of Santorini and the cave house is a cozy, elegant haven. If you can book this, consider yourself lucky!
