Lovely cottage in the outskirts of Komoro, very convenient if you travel by car. Well equipped kitchen and tatami in the rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

Lack of something more convenient to hang the clothes and no TV.

Lovely cottage in the woods, comfortable and well-equipped with great outdoor space. Peaceful atmosphere and friendly hosts — highly recommended for nature lovers. However, in January it was cold inside, despite heaters turned on, especially at night, so be ready for winter temperatures and warm layers. The location is peaceful and great for a nature reset, just better suited for other seasons if you’re sensitive to the cold.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this house. The place itself is beautiful — incredibly cozy, spotless, and very thoughtfully furnished. Every detail has been taken care of to make guests feel at home. What really made our experience special was the kindness of the owners: they are the sweetest and most considerate hosts ever ! They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering help whenever needed and taking the time to explain everything to us. Also as foreigners, the house was very welcoming and accessible: all items were clearly labeled in both English and Japanese, and they even showed us how to make the bed. We couldn’t recommend this place more, it was perfect for the three of us, and we would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

Lovely quaint Japanese cottage

Hard to initially find especially in the dark. Rough track from road to hut.

Eine wunderbare, gemütliche Hütte im Wald. Sehr ruhig gelegen und eine gastfreundliche Frau mit gutem Englisch zeigte uns das Haus. Die Whiskeydistillerie wenige hundert Meter nebenan ist ein Besuch wert.
