Chepsted Chalets

Celestine and her dog Simba, who run the property, are very friendly and responsible, and they always did their best to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. Daily juices squeezed from tropical fruits freshly picked from their garden and delicious tuna Celestine cooked for us a few times for our dinners were bonuses. Open sea view was amazing, especially dramatic during sunsets. Fresh breezes made the use of aircon unnecessary. Our house was equipped with all typical household items, which made our stay comfortable, including washing machine, which is always essential in the tropical weather. The surrounding environment is very calm and peaceful, with lots of wildlife hidden in the trees, such as flying foxes and birds, enjoyable to watch.

There are no public restaurants nearby; taxi is surprisingly difficult to catch in the Beau Vallon area. Although it takes only half an hour by walk, there are no pedestrian lanes - a problem not related to Chepsted, but rather the entire Beau Vallon area.

Our Chalet with 2 sleeping rooms was great and has been cleaned every day. It is super-safe and you have an amazing view to the sea. The garden is very nice, with many fruit treas. Thanks to Celestine for all and this wonderful breakfast, we still miss it here back home!!

We arrived a little early, and since we hadn’t set up our local sim cards yet we couldn’t reach the host to let her know we had arrived. Luckily for us, a guy who works there helped us get in touch with the landlady. She gave us a beautiful chalet with stunning views over the Ocean and the jungle. Inside she had prepared a bowl of fruits from the garden, and had even stocked the fridge with bread, fresh juice, beer etc. A great hostess and great employees. Beds are ok, a/c comfortable, room is spacious and extremely clean, views are stunning. The area is silent and feels safe. Highly recommend the outdoor shower (there is a shower indoors too).

The TV did only have one Channel - a local education channel. We did, However, not notify our host, so they were never given a chance to fix it. Was not really an issue for us.

Celestine and her staff were very kind and thoughtful. We even received some (surprise) Creole dishes so we could taste homemade food. Cleaning and room service was regular and sufficient.

Beautiful located! Amazing ocean view from the house. Sleeping was perfect. Our vacation was perfect thanks to Celestine. She met us in the airport. Rented the car for us. The room was cleaned every day including washed dishes. We will back here for the next year!

It was a fantastic experience from the beginning till the end. The accomodation was fantastic, very clean and cosy, with a nice terrace with a wonderful view of the hills and sea. Celestine was one of the best hosts we have ever met. She tried to fullfill every our wish, helped us with everything. After our arrival we found free food for breakfast, beer, fruits and fresh juice, she invited us for dinner and prepared a delicious fish etc. Our stay was amazing thanks to her. Nothing at all.

The management staff and maybe the owner were very dedicated. One ran in the street to and call us to make sure we found our way to the property. It was very helpful since the different GPS had trouble to find the place.

nothing but be aware the the guesthouse is up in the mountain so the car has difficulty to go up some of the hills

Chepstead Chalets is an amazing place hosted by great team. Celestin an Neros are very kind and wellcoming. the challets are specious and clean. you will have exceptional view from terrace and can sit there for hours and enjoy the ocean. there is bus stop, smal beach and little grocery nearby. you don’t have to rent the car if you don’t want. you can use the bus to go anywhere. the only thing that you would need to know is that the challets are located on the hill and there is a long steep road to the challets…going down is OK but climbing up is not easy for sure…if you dont plan to rent a car then going back to the challet you I suggest taking a taxi that would cost between 10-15Euros.
