Most personal rental experience thanks to Beatriz and her well-appointed historic Portuguese style home. Kitchen was stocked to support our ability to make home cooked meals. Fresh flowers, snacks and a delicious homemade cake were memorable.

Fab location, everything you need for stay. Friendly and helpful

The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We were greeted upon arrival and shown around. There were gorgeous locally picked bouquets of flowers around the house and fixing for a fantastic breakfast given to us. Also a lovely bottle of wine and amazing cake. We felt at home. There was a remarkable library where my father was supplied with amazing old French books. Bedrooms were very comfortable and we were never cold. Beatriz has undersold the location of this place. They are walking distance (granted steep) to the historic town centre. My late 70s parents were able to easily make this walk and we were very happy to be able to walk to the taxi rank and local restaurants. I would highly recommend this place it's a great location for exploring Sintra and surrounds. If you love cats (as we do) they will also make you feel welcome ;).

Bedrooms can be a little bright if you are used to having block out blinds. There is no oven which is not a negative just something for people to be aware of in case they are cooking.

Very personal touches from the host and her mother who left us a fresh bouquet of flowers, a homemade cake, a small bottle of wine, along with some other snacks on the kitchen counter and in the fridge. These were very thoughtful and much appreciated! It is a bit of a hike to the city center but worth it when you get to the top! Makes this a great location to stay!

The house is somewhat damp, like a basement, and needs a dehumidifier running at all times! There was one I located inside the house that I turned on that filled up quickly and seemed to help the dampness immediately.

It was a cute apartment with two bedrooms. the rooms were comfortable and the beds were as well. there was good heating and a nice living room where we could sit and relax. the apartments was near several restaurants and sights. Beatrice and her mother were very helpful and kind.

Everything. Such a lovely home from home. Delightful. Good location. Good amenities. The homemade cake & 1st mornings breakfast was very wecome. Cannot fault it.

Homely, comfortable and well-situated accommodation, 350m away from the Palacio Nacional in the main square of old Sintra on quite a steep road. There is a lovely forest view from the kitchen window. Beatriz and her mother Isabel were very welcoming and generous with treats, including home-made jam and a delicious apple crumble.

The host and her mum were delightful, the house is well equipped and comfortable, the wood burner was great as the weather was dreadful. Very lovely homey touches including a cake and wine to welcome us. Huge thank you to our hosts.

The rain came into the house a bit but to be fair, we had a deluge and it was unusually cold. A bit tired in places but cosy living area.
