Casa Família Cardoso

This was a beautifully decorated, functional, fully equipped and very clean apartment. We loved our stay and wish we had booked for longer. Our hosts were friendly and helpful.

Beautiful apartment with a great view of the river and mountains beyond. Very spacious and spotlessly clean, we mainly self catered and this apartment is very well equipped. We came to cycle and we were on empty roads in the hills within minutes. The walk down to the town took about 10 minutes. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Tavira and this apartment is amazing.

Whilst the view from the large veranda is lovely there is road noise from a nearby main road. There is however a small terrace at the front which gets the suns most of the day and is very quiet. No road noise can be heard within the property and we slept very well.

Plenty of room and attractive traditional decor. Quiet area of town overlooking the River Gihao. The outside porch is wonderful! The walk to town is easy, and the 120 steps up (or down) between the town to the street of the apartment is a fun challenge. You can park a car right outside the apartment, too. I highly recommend this property.

Poor internet access in bedroom. But not a major problem.

The house was amazingly clean, equipped with everything and very spacious for two people. One of the best places we have ever rented in a lifetime of travelling. Our host was lovely and very responsive. Good location in a residential part of town, a quick walk from shops, restaurants etc. We hope to come back and see more of the Algarve, it's such a wonderful region.

There was nothing we did not like

Lovely apartment in quiet and convenient location. This is the second time we have stayed here - loved it the first time so we came back and stayed a little longer. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. It is a 10 minute walk into the old town using the steps down to the river. There is a lovely restaurant just past the bottom of the steps - just 5 minutes from the apartment.

The property had everything we required. The location was excellent. Average fare home from town centre 4 Euros.

No complaints at all.

Very large unit which was great. Location within reasonable walking distance to towns and many sights and restaurants. Parking was good. Beautifully furnished home.
